Travel Bubble Trouble

It appears that the fast-track provisions under the original travel bubble set up by the OECS and CARICOM have been suspended until further notice.

  1. It appears that none of the other countries that were in the “travel bubble” are honoring it. We’ve completed our quarantine in Antigua and are heading up towards Puerto Rico. None of the islands along the way will let us in without quarantining there. The only exception – other than U.S.V.I.- Is to get off the boat for a “stay vacation” at a resort. Looks like we can anchor at a few places along the way but that’s it.

    1. Yes, that’s what I am hearing too. I am awaiting the latest Notice from the government which I believe will formalize the ‘no more bubble’ position. I will post it when official.

  2. We arrived in Antigua from Saint Lucia today equipped with our COVID test and having been in the bubble for the required time. The process in Antigua was a breeze, there was zero push back.

    1. Good to hear you cleared in swiftly. The info about the bubble was directly from Customs, so not sure if you snuck under the wire (meaning you arrived before the change), or if the memo is still in circulation…
      I will continue to monitor.
