Government Update

I have posted the latest update issued February 10th.

It is silent on the Travel Bubble, so presumably it is suspended indefinately…it would be better to actually say that, but being silent assumes it is gone, for now.

Also, it refers to all vessels will be subject to quarantine as per Port Health.

So far, I have been unable to locate a Port Health protocol, so there is no guidance as to what that actually means. Probably prudent to assume the worst case scenario, and hope for the best…

Travel Bubble Trouble

It appears that the fast-track provisions under the original travel bubble set up by the OECS and CARICOM have been suspended until further notice.

Step 1: Health…..Step 2: Customs…..Step 3: Immigration

As per the government Travel Advisory published on December 8th, all vessels MUST contact Antiguan authorities on Channel 16 prior to arrival where they will be directed to a specific clearance port and scheduled for the Health Authority COVID check.

You cannot go ashore until duly authorized by Health.

If you do, you will be breaking the law.

Several visitors have tried this deviation and been given a warning. That may change if Antigua experiences a spike in infections.

Once the Health Authority is happy with your tests and declaration, you can proceed ashore to clear in with Customs and Immigration.
